开发了新的 XR 可视化工具 MXR(混音器),以竞争打造现场活动和粉丝体验的未来。
Billed as "a new tool for a new generation of concert visuals" by its boutique studio &Pull, MXR has been in development for two years and is now available in private beta.
Through an impressive series of tests with recent case studies like Coachella, including broadcast augmented reality (AR) visuals for performances by Childish Gambino, Bad Bunny, Gorillaz, and BLACKPINK, MXR is a scalable creator tool , the audiovisual experience can be customized to provide native 3D rendering for 2D displays and immerse fans through real-time interaction with XR devices and applications.
Eric Wagliardo, MXR developer and founder of &Pull, is committed to creating future-proof content for Performance Vision, a program that "serves as a new VJ tool" that allows for both traditional and more advanced XR Graphics and interactions.
“There is a dream that many of us [in the industry] share in innovative concert experiences with XR devices everywhere,” Wagliardo said. “We are in a booming moment where music visualization [of performances] should be reimagined in this rebirth.”
"A lot of what we're seeing now in XR and the virtual world are incremental baby steps toward a world where wearables are commonplace. To make that happen, we need to build the infrastructure and tools."
Wagliardo sees tools like MXR not as gimmicks, but as opportunities for festivals, labels and musicians to forge new business channels and partnerships in the fields of technology, fandom and visual arts.
“In partnering with Coachella, we believe Broadcast AR is an important part of the future of music performance, as more music events are being streamed online to expand their audiences,” added Sam Schoonover, founder of Forward Studio and head of innovation at Coachella ”, in an interview with VRScout.
"The problem is that the cost of these productions is often prohibitively high. The types of tools MXR is building should help alleviate these costs for musicians, helping them scale more fun and engaging entertainment experiences across the industry."
With the ability to programmatically and quickly generate large amounts of content for complete customization and real-time operation, MXR is positioned to bridge the gap in seemingly seamless performance improvements.
