The company this week announced a host of new features for its no-code AR Instructor solution, including interactive and responsive digital twin operations, gesture-less capabilities, and remote-assisted multi-user conferencing.
AR Instructor provides the tools to train and instruct personnel as well as increase real-world productivity. The platform allows for the creation of training content with step-by-step operating instructions using code-free authoring tools and seamless integration of 3D models, videos, documents and images. According to Arvizio, companies can create engaging training content based on their standard operating procedures and complex equipment. In addition, users can quickly connect to remote experts who can view the physical world of field workers in real time and collaborate via a Web browser.
AR Instructor Technology Features Upgrade
Magic Leap 2 requires no gestures - Gesture-less gestures are an essential part of AR-guided workflows, allowing users to visualize overlaid instructions and assets while performing desired activities while keeping their hands free.AR Instructor on Magic Leap 2 allows users to seamlessly switch between controller use and gesture manipulation within the app and perform complex tasks. Controllers remain the preferred method when creating 3D workflows.
Remote expert meetings - AR Instructor now supports conferencing with multiple participants interacting at the same time.Arvizio's conferencing feature allows multiple team members to join a web browser user session and provide real-time feedback. Participants can capture still frames from the live user's video and provide AR annotations that are visible to all participants.
Responsive Digital Twin - The use of digital twins in standalone training scenarios or stacked with physical devices provides AR Instructor users with precise, easily recognizable attributes to further guide their instructions.AR Instructor now includes both interactive and responsive digital twin functionality:
- 3D modeling hotspot:Digital twins can be augmented with hotspot areas or feature buttons that guide the user to take action, go to the next step, or verify correct recognition;
- 3D model responsive mobile:Accurate positioning of parts and components is critical to many training scenarios.AR Instructor responds to component movement to verify placement accuracy and provide guided responses to the user.
Arvizio said the new features apply to the Magic Leap 2 and Microsoft HoloLens 2 headsets, as well as theipad,iphoneQualcomm Snapdragon Spaces is also available as a demo kit.
