Anglo American selects Immerse platform to integrate its virtual reality learning content

June 20, 2023 – Enterprise Extended Reality (XR) Software ProviderImmerse It was recently announced that global mining company Anglo American is leveraging the Immerse platform to bring all of its virtual reality (VR) content into one location. According to Immerse, the partnership will enable Angola Americas to more easily and securely host, manage, measure and distribute learning content for its globally dispersed workforce.

Immerse provides an open, scalable immersive ecosystem for enterprise XR training technologies and solutions. The company's Immerse platform is a content aggregation, distribution and reporting platform that enables enterprises to create, distribute, easily implement and measure performance of custom and off-the-shelf XR training content.

Immerse noted that today, enterprises are adopting immersive learning and developing content for a variety of use cases. However, for multinational organizations, a challenge is ensuring that the content created and used is uniformly standardized across employees worldwide to ensure consistency. By bringing everything under one platform, Angolo Americas ensures there is a central dashboard where teams can view and leverage data measurements through a Learning Management System (LMS) globally distributed program.

The integration targets 49 extended reality (XR) modules from seven vendors, mainly related to health safety and technical training. According to Immerse, the project also includes integration with Angolo America’s LMS (Success Elements), enabling a single sign-on, as well as standardizing many of the data and metrics produced by current XR modules.
