Microsoft is previewing Azure remote rendering support on Quest 2 and Pro
作为MetaAs part of Meta and Microsoft's ongoing partnership, there will be a public preview of Azure Remote Rendering on Quest 2 and Pro.
During Connect 2022, Meta and Microsoft revealed a partnership to run Windows on Quest via cloud streaming. In addition to productivity apps such as the Microsoft Office suite, it was also announced that Quest devices will support Microsoft Intune and Azure Active Directory, although the specifics have yet to be spelled out. Azure Remote Rendering support is now underway!Public Preview.
Azure Remote Rendering (ARR) has been used previously with mixed reality devices including Microsoft HoloLens 2. It utilizes Azure's computing power to render complex models in the cloud and then streams them to your device in real time. On both Quest headset devices, ARR also includes penetration support.
"With our new support for Quest 2 and Quest Pro, you can now easily integrate powerful Azure cloud rendering capabilities into these devices," said Microsoft. "We've added this feature in a way that doesn't change the way you use the service. Support forQuest 2andQuestProIt has been one of the main needs of partners and developers."
