Dash through laser traps and explore giant volcano hideouts on this newest miniature golf course.
Since launching on VR headsets in 2020, Walking Mini Golf has been updated several times with new and exciting DLC copies. These include copies of everything from Sweet Land, a candy fantasy world filled with delicious obstacles, to Atlantis, inspired by a mysterious underwater city.
Earlier this month, Walking Mini Golf launched its 20th copy, "Laser Lair." Set on a volcanic island in the South Pacific, this dungeon has you pitching in the deadly compound of supervillain Dr. Magnus Caldwell. The only thing stopping you from ace-in-one are the deadly lasers that scatter every inch of the sinister facility.
The official description reads: "Dr. Magnus Caldwell is the leader of the world's premier supervillain society, LAIR. From his base on a volcanic island in the South Pacific, he throws lavish parties for corrupt businessmen and villains of their kind. He loves modern sixty 1990s design, with bold, confident curves and a retro-futuristic vibe. But being a supervillain is hard work, and what's the point if you can't just relax and enjoy it? His attached Bachelor apartment is richly decorated, beautifully landscaped, with Hot springs fountains small caves and kung fu dojos, all within walking distance of giant flying robots built in his own image. His evil plan is to use giant robots to take over the world."
This latest dungeon has 18 easy and 18 hard holes. There are also 18 new lost balls to collect, two commemorative putters, an original soundtrack, villain avatars and various Easter eggs, such as an interactive beach ball. Hard modes offer unique challenges, such as a "unique" scavenger hunt for you to find a few exploding cards.
What I appreciate about this new dungeon is the team's attention to detail. Every inch of the laser lair is filled with fun little moments, from robotic drones carrying drinks on plates to sandwiches laser-cut holes in the table.
《漫步迷你高尔夫》现已在Meta,PC VR,PICOAvailable on the PlayStation VR2 headset and select playground partners for $14.99. Laser Lair can be purchased separately for $3.99. According to Mighty Coconut, this latest copy is the first DLC in the new game's "Den of Evil" series.
