Acron: Attack of the Squirrels, developed by Resolution Games, is a party game for 2-8 players. In VR, one plays as a giant tree of acorns trying to protect itself, throwing projectiles at enemies. On smartphones, everyone else is the squirrel trying to steal those acorns. There are different classes of squirrels with specific power-ups.
We gave Acron: Attack of the Squirrels a good review in our 2019 review. While we were disappointed by its lack of more levels, we called this party game "a delight."
So Acron is nothing short of a delight. Certainly not the pinnacle of VR immersion, but a hustle-and-scream hectic obsession that brings out the more interesting side of the platform. Playing with friends, it's an insanely fun set that'll have you passing the headset around in no time.
