The guests' own bodies are the gamepads; they simply step into the virtual world and participate in the action that is happening around them.

Currently, all Sandbox VR experiences are developed by the company's AAA game studios based in Hong Kong and Vancouver, led by game industry veterans. All experiences are purpose-built for team players for a socially interactive experience. Up to six friends can freely explore the virtual world and rely on each other to help them succeed.

Sandbox VR currently operates in 43 locations around the world and is expanding rapidly. The company notes that it has launched more than a dozen locations in the past 12 months, each with at least four fully immersive rooms spanning more than 5,000 square feet. Sandbox VR says it is the "fastest-growing location-based virtual reality startup in the world."
