The 7th Guest VR Releases This October For Quest, PSVR 2 & PC VR

Vertigo Games has confirmed that its CD-ROM remake of the horror classic The Seventh Guest VR will be available on Quest, PSVR 2 and PC VR headsets on October 19th.

The original point-and-click game, released in 1993, used live action montage and pre-rendered 3D graphics to tell the story of Stover Hall, which is haunted by ghosts.

Vertigo has released a new trailer for the remake of The Seventh Guest VR ahead of the upcoming Gamescom 2023 show. The trailer shows for the first time a ghostly image of the character brought to life in VR through volumetric video capture technology.

Game director Paul van der Meer said in a statement: "Our goal is to push the possibilities of virtual reality, just like the original CD-ROM game. The story trailer shows what can be achieved using volumetric capture at this level. A real achievement, allowing players to feel the tension as they explore the strange happenings and evil causes of the manor.”

Vertigo also confirmed that The Seventh Guest VR will be released simultaneously with PSVR 2, which means the game will be available on three VR platforms at the same time before Halloween this year.

The Seventh Guest VR is now available in Steam,PSVR 2 and Quest Wishlist reservations are available online and will be released on October 19th.
