PlayStation VR2 exclusive game "Firewall Ultra" has been officially released.

The highly anticipated shooter from First Contact Entertainment takes advantage of key new PSVR 2 features, such as eye tracking, to create a more refined tactical game than its 2018 predecessor, Firewall Zero Hour. For example, we pointed out earlier this year that the blinding effect of an in-game flashbang or flashlight can be reduced by quickly closing your eyes.

David Jagneaux, a spokesman for First Contact Entertainment, said: "It's a natural reaction of the body - you don't have to remember which button does what." , can "make your shots more intentional".

We got to play the game earlier this year and only got a glimpse of the strategy, so we'll be playing a live server over the next few days to see how it plays out.

The main attraction of Firewall Ultra is the 4v4 mode, in which two teams try to hack a laptop or defend it, but there is also a co-op mode, Exfil, where up to 4 players work together to hack three laptops and leave. Just ahead of launch, First Contact Entertainment released a roadmap promising new co-op modes, maps, weapons, and contractors.

We'll be curious to see how active Firewall Ultra's servers are over the holidays, as it's becoming a big part of Sony's PSVR 2 multiplayer shooter strategy. Stay tuned for our review.

Firewall Ultra is available now on the PlayStation Store.
