I tried throwing an ax in virtual reality. The following is my experience.

ArcadeXR today announced the 2.0 update for Arcade Legends, introducing the ax throwing game for the first time.
For those unfamiliar, Arcade Legends is a unique virtual reality experience that allows you to build your own personal playground. Here, you can play 10 official arcade games with three friends while earning tickets that can be used to buy virtual items in the prize shop. You can also unlock secret areas and visit other players' playgrounds.
Since launch, ArcadeXR has released several additional activities for the game, such as bowling and bocce. The 2.0 update adds a new neighborhood environment to explore, as well as another activity: ax throwing. The developer has partnered with leading ax throwing destination BATL Ax Throwing to bring realistic ax throwing to Meta Quest headsets.
This new venue offers a variety of BATL ax throwing game modes including Standard BATL, Classic Target, Tic Tac Toe, Bullseye Dash and Super BATL. You can unlock up to 10 unique ax skins from the Prize Shop. To find this venue, just step outside and look for a large ax throwing sign.
I had a chance to shoot a few axes earlier today, and I must say that BATL ax throwing works surprisingly well in VR. Obviously, the experience isn't as satisfying as real ax throwing. Still, the variety of game modes on offer kept me entertained. My personal favorite is Bullseye Dash.
I also like the detail of burn-in targets on the board before each round. It's a small but noticeable addition that adds to the overall vibe.
Arcade LegendsIt's available now for $24.99 on Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro headsets. According to ArcadeXR, a PC VR version is coming soon. For more information, please visithere.
