Tim Droz (USA) joined the company as an independent Board member, while Youssef Benmokhtar (USA) joined the Advisory Board. VoxelSensors stated that their deep experience in semiconductors, 3D sensing, system architecture, natural interaction, customer engagement and XR wearables will help facilitate further growth and global collaborations for the company.

"I am excited to join the VoxelSensors Board of Directors and contribute to the company's innovation and growth journey," said Droz. "VoxelSensors' commitment to pushing the boundaries of sensor technology and deep subsystems is a perfect fit with my passion for disruptive advancements. I look forward to working closely with the talented team at VoxelSensors to drive the development of breakthrough solutions and capitalize on future opportunities. "

Youssef Benmokhtar has also joined VoxelSensors as a member of the Advisory Board. Benmokhtar has extensive experience in business development in the consumer electronics and mobile industries. Currently serving as the CEO of GelSight, a US-based company focused on tactile sensing technology. Benmokhtar also served as the former Senior Vice President of Business Development at Magic Leap and DigitalOptics Corporation. VoxelSensors said that by leveraging his extensive expertise, Benmokhtar will play a key role in forging valuable connections with clients and investors relevant to the XR industry.

Benmokhtar said: "During Magic Flyer, we were looking for the most advanced 3D imaging technology that could be incorporated into an augmented reality headset. So when I met the VoxelSensors team and they showed me their unique technology, I was thrilled. Very surprised. Their technology provides the required ultra-low power consumption, ultra-low latency, and can be integrated into AR devices."

VoxelSensors pointed out that reducing system-level power consumption is critical to the development of XR. the company'sSPAES(Switching Pixels Active Event Sensor) is a novel 3D perception architecture that addresses OEMs’ needs for low-power and low-latency perception systems by providing an efficient sequential 3D data path instead of the power-hungry traditional frame-based vision pipeline. According to the company, SPAES enables low-power, low-latency spatial mapping, localization, segmentation and natural interaction in XR.

“As a seasoned professional in the 3D sensing industry, I see growing momentum for VoxelSensors to elegantly address the challenge of delivering low power and low latency 3D perception,” said Andre Miodezky, President of VoxelSensors. "We are extremely honored to have exceptional individuals joining our company who will be with us as we change the course of the 3D perception industry."

VoxelSensors will be in Singapore this week at AWE Asia and will be demonstrating its Andromeda (first generation) evaluation kit at booth #D3. For more information on VoxelSensors, please visit the company's website or contact sales@voxelsensors.com.
