Meta Quest+ Members Get Red Matter & A Fisherman's Tale For September

leave it (to sb)Meta Quest+提供的两款高质量VR游戏将成为9月份的新封推荐。

Meta Quest+, the company's new monthly game subscription service, launched at the end of June for $8 a month. You can cancel your membership and rejoin with access to games previously unlocked with your subscription.

From September 1st until the end of the month, Meta Quest+ members can get Vertical Robot's Red Matter and Innerspace's A Fisherman's Tale. These two games regularly appear in our VR game rankings.

Red Matter debuted in 2018 with impressive visuals for PC and PSVR devices, followed by a Quest release the following year with "improved visuals". Vertical Robot developers have long been known for improving visuals across devices, an example of which can be seen in the embedded video below:

In 2019, Innerspace's A Fisherman's Tale achieved "the perfect storm of gameplay, immersion and narrative" through the perfect combination of perfect gameplay, immersive experience and narrative techniques. Check out the trailer below, which stood out at launch for its innovative VR experience that's still enjoyable to this day.

Whether it's Red Matter or A Fisherman's Tale, they both have recent sequels that showcase the same developers' ability to explore new stories and game ideas. So if any new Meta Quest+ members enjoy these two games, be sure to check out our reviews of Red Matter 2 and Another Fisherman's Tale for more games.

While the price is $8 per month, Meta also offers an annual plan for $59.99 per year. Titles previously offered by the program include Walkabout Mini Golf, which new members will still be able to subscribe to through September 1, and the Pistol Whip, which launched in June. That means annual subscribers who have joined since it launched in June already own some of the best games in VR, even if they've never owned any Quest games before.

Although much has been known about the device, the Quest 3 is scheduled to be officially revealed at the Meta Connect event on September 27th. The Quest 3, which starts at $500, is thinner and more powerful than the Quest 2, which will continue to be sold as an entry-level device alongside the new headset.

With Meta pushing its VR user base ahead of new competitors taking hold in 2024, we can expect big names to join the Quest+ game lineup in October, November, and December.
