Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil 4 Remake's VR mode will be released "this winter," the news was first confirmed via a new trailer at today's PlayStation Showcase.
This is the first confirmation of the approximate release date for the VR mode, which we first saw back in May. However, there's still no specific release date - hopefully it will make its way to the headset before the end of the year.
The confirmation comes alongside another short trailer, which gives us a new look at how the remake will translate to VR mode. In fact, this will be the second VR version of Resident Evil 4 - the first was released in 2021 as a reimagining of the original game and was only available on Quest.
The VR mode that will be released on PSVR 2 this time will be different from the Quest version. This time it will adapt Capcom's "Resident Evil 4 Remake" released on consoles and PC earlier this year, and launch it exclusively for PSVR 2. This is also another major move after the VR mode "Resident Evil 8" was released on PSVR 2 in February this year.
We've been fans of every Resident Evil game that's hit VR devices so far—and we can't wait to get our hands on the PSVR 2 version of Resident Evil 4 this winter. Stay tuned for more news and release dates in the coming months.
