Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord will launch on PSVR 2 and Quest next month, supporting cross-platform play.
During tonight's State of Play presentation, Sony revealed that the upcoming mission-based co-op game will be available around Halloween. "Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord" is developed by nDreams. Players need to solve puzzles with friends, capture ghosts, and stop the march of demons to save San Francisco.
In a press release, Sony Pictures Virtual Reality (SPVR) introduced PSVR 2 features, including eye-tracking support for "enhanced accuracy," and menu navigation assist. The headset's haptic feedback activates when a ghost passes through the player; the controller's haptic feedback provides a "realistic feel" when picking up objects; and the adaptive trigger provides resistance when using the proton gun.
We also got our first look at the "Complete Collection Edition," which will cost $49.99, compared to the standard game price of $34.99. SPVR said the Collector’s Edition includes full game content and post-launch extra content, offering “four equipment skins, more than 10 additional player avatars, Slimer hunting features, collectibles, and more.” Future updates also promise to add new game modes.
