War Bow has added a duel mode and is developing a PSVR 2 version

Co-op wave shooter Battle Bows has received a free update, and a PSVR 2 version is in development.

"Battle Bow" was released on Oculus Quest and PC VR platforms in July last year. Players need to defend their castles from balloon monsters. In an update titled Bow Showdown, WIMO Games developers confirmed that the new game mode will see archers join three competing teams to compete for the highest score. Winning these battles helps unlock new talents, such as reduced elemental ability cooldowns or increased range.

This update also introduces the "Winter Stronghold" map, which has more than 40 enemy attack paths and defenders can exchange explosives for arrows. There's also now a "Legendary" difficulty mode, featuring 16 waves of deadly enemies and "Legendary Bada Bomb Bosses," as well as a new crossbow weapon.

In our Battle Bow review, we had some mixed impressions of the game. While we find the game fun, we don't think it's very durable due to its lack of content, but this update may fix that.

Even if WIMO Games can only successfully attract players with the content it currently offers in Battle Bow, the lack of further content updates will inevitably become a problem... for those who want to play a new VR game with friends. That said, it might be worth considering, but in its current state you're unlikely to get much more out of the game.

Battle Bow is now availableMeta QuestIt will be available on both platforms and SteamVR, while a release date for PSVR 2 has yet to be determined.
