DPVR displayed E4 and P2 virtual reality devices at TGS, hinting at the possible launch of AR glasses.
September 26, 2023 – DPVR, a virtual reality (VR) headset and technology provider, recently highlighted its plans to expand from Tokyo Game Show 2023 (TGS) returns, the company showcased its latest VR innovations at the show, including a focus on PC VR gamingE4headsets, and their latest releasesP2Enterprise VR equipment and possibly AR glasses style equipment.
The TGS event brings together professionals and enthusiasts from Japan and around the world, with 787 companies and organizations exhibiting from 44 different countries and more than 240,000 visitors, providing DPVR with an "excellent" platform to showcase its Augmented Reality technology and strengthen connections with the Augmented Reality community.
At DPVR’s booth, the Laser Focus Model (LMA) was located right in the center of the event’s XR booth, providing attendees with an immersive experience, showcasing five different home scenarios for attendees to experience the company’s VR The solution is to recreate the comfort of home.
DPVR’s flagship device E4 headset is compatible with SteamVR, provides users with 4K display resolution, 120-degree field of view (FoV), and weighs only 280g, making it suitable for long-term gaming. The company said the E4 headset has been a hit with visitors, with the device attracting large crowds and allowing visitors to experience Beat Knife and Beat Knife on a gaming-focused VR headset.VRChat. DPVR also said that several game studios have expressed interest in cooperation.
TGS is also the first offline event for DPVR to showcase its newly released P2 device. DPVR joins forces with its long-term partnersVivid Vision, a provider of vision training virtual reality games, said the two companies hope to explore new ways to help children with low vision, and that the combination of Vivid Vision's treatment plans and P2 head-mounted displays "has the potential to continue to positively impact patients' lives."
In addition, DPVR said it displayed a "glasses-style wearable technology prototype" at the show, designed for "office scenarios," but the company did not provide further information about the product. The move could mark DPVR's first foray into the augmented reality (AR) market.
