To enable content with light field technology to have real-world depth, even when viewed with a single eye, CREAL has developed a patented AR light field microdisplay technology stack that combines licensable hardware and software.

Unlike current 3D displays, which present two flat images to each eye, light fields create realistic images with true depth and enhanced quality by recreating light rays as they exist in the real world, according to CREAL statement.

CREAL noted that AR headsets on the market today are unable to easily display close-up content due to the so-called “focus adaptation conflict” (mentioned previously in Auganix) and competition for focus, which is known throughout the AR and VR markets. visual problems.
