Large-screen Super Brain VR headset review: Excellent computer virtual reality comfort but with major trade-offs
Bigscreen Beyond represents a small software company's first bold attempt to build hardware. In order to achieve the world's most lightweight full-featured VR system, Widescreen Beyond made significant design compromises. Here's our initial review of this ultra-thin PC VR headset powered by SteamVR Tracking technology.
After watching the movie for about 20 minutes, I decided I wanted some popcorn and a drink. I slumped in front of the giant screen, light hitting the top of the stool in front of me. A few minutes later, I was back in my comfy seat, wolfing down some popcorn while watching a movie. I unscrewed the cap on the soda bottle, tilted the bottle, and took a swig of soda while watching the 2D version of "Avatar: The Path of Water" alone. I then went to another room and watched Eddie Murphy's Originals with other people in the seat in front of me.
I enjoyed hours of this movie and TV experience in Bigscreen Beyond, and I also enjoyed playing Walkabout Mini Golf, Beat Saber, and Half-Life: Alyx with this headset. Therefore, I can consider the widescreen Transcendence my preferred PC VR headset. Virtual Cinema is available on almost any VR headset, and I enjoy traditional movie content in VR from time to time, but the weight loss of widescreen transcendence helps make room for these experiences in a new and refreshing way. .
Yes, widescreen transcendence solves the face of VR devices...
