Angry Birds VR: Pig Island is coming to PSVR 2 this October with a discounted cross-version upgrade.
Developed by Resolution Games, Angry Birds VR: Pig Island initially launched in 2019 and has received a series of ongoing updates. Now landing on Sony's latest headset, Resolution confirms that the PSVR 2 version will offer enhanced visuals, including "improvements to environments and select 3D models, new visual effects, and lighting updates." Users will be able to share and download created levels online, which is not possible on PSVR.
Our review of Angry Birds VR: Pig Island gave a positive impression that it's great for younger players and that the gameplay "performs very well in live-action VR."
While I found both levels to be simple, I think it's important to keep the target audience in mind. Angry Birds has always been a series of games geared towards a younger demographic, and for them this is a perfect VR game. It has fun levels, beautiful graphics, some challenging levels and great creative potential available through the level editor.
