Extraordinary Adventure is now a home gym for $100 a year

MetaMeta's fitness service Supernatural now offers pricing that turns the Quest headset into a more affordable home gym.

The new pricing was announced at last week's Meta Connect event, but we're just starting to see this new pricing line up with Meta's overall VR product push into the 2023 holiday market.

Supernatural has been priced at $19 per month in the past, with an annual membership costing $180. Meta completed its acquisition of the fitness service earlier this year, a deal that closed due to a 15-month delay, and Supernatural's new pricing could mark the start of a major push by the company to support VR sports and fitness.

As an independent startup, Supernatural has added home plans and merchandise, including a simple floor mat that can help center the center of your training space. Celebrities such as Elliot Page have become featured on the servicebig supporter, we have been thinking about whether virtual gyms have the potential to become a bigger business than physical gyms in the future. For those who haven't tried the service yet, Supernatural is very similar to Beat Saber, with a lot of popular music to choose from, but it's specifically tuned for workouts with motivational words from the instructors Guide you through exercise.

Meta's pricing of Supernatural at $100 per year (or $9.99 per month), plus the $300 for Quest 2 and $500 for Quest 3, is already an enticing deal, but it might just be the beginning of the company's ambitions.

Meta's new accessories, like the Quest 3's Charging Station or the Quest 2's Anker Charging Dock, can keep your VR gear ready to go, just like any other fitness equipment in your home. Next year, Supernatural should support Meta's persistent digital objects, Augments, so "you can put a digital portal next to your real-life training gear and have easy access to a Supernatural workout every time you walk by," as Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a tweet As explained in the Connect keynote.

Is Meta prepared to ask fitness enthusiasts how much time and money they spend each year on top of membership fees to get to the gym? With rumors of a possible lower-priced Quest next year, and Supernatural's low-priced service, the Quest virtual reality headset may respond to Apple's earlierFitness+Service.
