Synth Riders is about to add mixed reality support in a new update that will soon bring the rhythm game into your living room on Quest 3.
Yesterday, Kluge Interactive shared a 20-second clip of a mixed reality game on Twitter, suggesting that the update is "coming soon" to the Quest headset.
As you can see in the tweet above, the Mixed Reality feature will cut through a portion of your wall to create a portal from which the world of Synth Riders will emerge.
Synth Riders will be one of many games that will be receiving Quest 3-related updates, many of which not only focus on mixed reality but also bring visual upgrades.
There's no specific timeline for the Synth Riders update, other than to say it's "coming soon", but hopefully it will be released next week alongside the launch of Quest 3.
Synth Riders is one of the most frequently updated games in VR, with developer Kluge Interactive constantly developing new content both free and paid. Recent content updates include a new collection of synthwave tracks and paid music packs containing artists like Gorillaz.
In August, Kluge confirmed that the studio was exploring hand-tracking support for games and working on new games as it continues its development program.
