Ubisoft released gameplay footage of Assassin's Creed Nexus at Quest 3 and confirmed the timeline of each character in the upcoming VR spin-off.
Following our recent Assassin's Creed Nexus preview, Ubisoft has also released a new nine-minute gameplay overview of Nexus' parkour mechanics, sneaking abilities, combat, comfort settings, and story. The segment, hosted by Senior Creative Director David Votypka and Associate Game Director Olivier Palmieri, contains gameplay footage captured both in-engine and on Quest 3. You can watch it below:
The game is set between 405 BC and 403 BC, and Votypka tells us that Cassandra's story takes place almost twenty years after the end of the Odyssey, during the reign of the Thirty Tyrants. "We put her in a situation where there were these tyrannical, horrible men ruling Athens, and that's the main key point of her story," he explains. Ezio's story takes place in 1509, between Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (1499-1507) and Assassin's Creed: Revelations (1511-1512), while Connor's quest is set between 1775 and 1777.
