Depending on how spread out you are while completing the main quest and Uncharted Rift, Wrath of Asgard 2 promises over 60 hours of gameplay. I tried wall-running, climbing ladders and ropes, flying on one creature, traversing on the back of another, solving environmental puzzles on the scale of gods and men, slashing through countless enemies, and petting cats. And I played the game using smooth joystick-based positioning, quick turns, and no tunneling effects or shadow masking.
An hour and thirty minutes is clearly not enough time to judge the execution of such a massive piece of content, and I wondered if the game's vast deserts would seem sparse and uncrowded to the player throughout the course of the game. However, this playtime was enough to give me a sense of the scale of Meta's efforts and the overall goals of the Sanzaru development team. Despite the fact that they made sequels to Asgard's Wrath for Quest 3 and Quest 2, which is one of the most beautifully crafted games on the PC VR platform, I came away from the demo feeling that Sanzaru has a good chance of succeeding in breaking into the indie VR space like never before.
