Rampage Agents, influenced by Borderlands and Fortnite, has launched a new VR multiplayer shooter, now available on Quest and Steam.
Developed by PlutoVR, the team describes Rampage Agents as a fusion of "battle royale and multiplayer action-adventure gameplay". The game promises an ever-expanding lineup of playable agents, each with different abilities and 35 different firearms, divided into a separate Battle Royale mode and an Adventure mode, the latter of which lets you play with up to three friends. Battle Royale mode is inspired by Apex Legends and Fortnite, while Adventure mode is inspired by Gunfire Reborn and Borderlands. In the Early Access version, Adventure Mode currently includes two main chapters with boss fights, four actionable agents, and an "almost complete" talent system. When the full version is released, PlutoVR promises to offer "66 maps, 38 types of monsters, 49 weapons, more than 100 items, four difficulties and more".
Other planned additions include a Battle Pass system, an annual Battle Royale tournament, more difficulty, close-quarters combat, large events, and new agent skills and weapons. A "more comprehensive" Battle Royale mode is also in development, with PlutoVR planning to add "two Battle Royale maps with different themes" and "three new agents with different abilities" each year.
