Following up on previous blogs about dungeon crawler modes Uncharted Rift and Guardians of the Universe protagonists, a new Asgard's Wrath 2 update comes from Senior Game Producer Mari Kyle. Brought by Horus to the Hall of the Sun, also known as the Hideout, guarded by the warrior-like demigod Meget.
Among the friendly ally gods is Bess, an old ally of Herus and a merchant who runs the bazaar where you can craft potions. Ptah is described as a craftsman who can make armor or weapons and tell you about temples and secret locations in the great desert.
Two other allied gods, Polyduces and Castor, also from distant mythology, assisted in cooking food and hunting equipment. Kyle calls hunting a "very important part" of the Wrath of Asgard 2 universe, where you can hunt wild animals or craft decoys to lure out apex predators. Kyle describes the latter as a mini-boss.
There are also mini-games for players to choose from, including a slingshot shooter where you can earn different prizes and share your score through leaderboards. There's also a Frisbee slider mini-game that mixes marbles with skateboarding. Fishing can provide cooking materials. Finally, Kyle outlines some difficult ritual combat challenges, namely the Pillars of Neith. Completing these Quests will unlock endless mode and additional benefits.
"Asgard's Wrath 2" will be launched on the Meta Quest platform on December 15, priced at $60 Meta, but users who purchase Quest 3 before January 27, 2024 will receive a free version. You can read more about our latest impressions:
