The PlayStation Store charts for October 2023 have now been announced, and PSVR 2 has different first places in both regions.

In October, Beat Saber wasn't a success in Europe, and despite hitting number one in the US/Canada, the most downloaded PSVR 2 game in Europe was The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR. This is likely related to Halloween and last month's big Horde Mode update, which introduced "extreme G-drops" and rooms of increasing difficulty to spice up Supermassive's horror roller coaster shooter.

As always, Sony states in its post that these download rankings do not include PSVR 2 cross-buy upgrades, PSVR 2-enabled games, and games available through hardware bundles, specificallyHorizon: Call of the Mountain. Therefore, these lists will not count masterpieces such as "Gran Turismo 7", nor will they include the "Resident Evil 4 Remake VR Mode" released this winter.
