Microsoft Teams will soon support immersive 3D meetings with avatars

Microsoftis integrating its mixed reality platform Microsoft Mesh into Microsoft Teams. This enables immersive 3D meetings and events using avatars in Teams. Spatial audio and integrated audio zones enable multiple conversations to take place simultaneously in the same room. Although 3D teamwork does not require a VR headset, the experience is more immersive. The Mesh platform is expected to be introduced to Teams in January next year. Despite the integration, Microsoft Mesh will remain a standalone platform.
