Alyx saves up to 66% until Tuesday

The best VR game to date, Half-Life: Alyx, is heavily discounted for a short period of time. If you don't have one, you should get it now.

Half-Life: Alyx was released in 2020 and sold by Valve with the Valve Index, the best VR headset at the time. The story, characters, world, details and most importantly, flawless VR interactions make this game a flagship game for virtual reality. To this day, no other VR game has achieved this level of quality.

As of November 21, VR Hits is available on Steam for about $20, two-thirds cheaper than usual. So if you haven't picked it up yet, you should do so now.

轻松玩 Quest 3、 Quest 2 或 PICO 4

No Valve Index or other PC-only VR headsets required. If you own a current standalone VR headset, such as the Quest 3, Quest 2, or PICO 4, you can play Half-Life: Alyx via a wired or Wi-Fi connection.

In my Quest 3 review, I tried Half-Life: Alyx via AirLink, which is a native Wi-Fi connection to the Quest headset, and it worked great. The Quest 3 is also ideal for PC VR applications, with its excellent pancake shots and image clarity all the way to the edges (no more tedious searching for the sweet spot). A Quest 2 or PICO 4 will also do the job. Pros Quest: You can also play great indie games like Assassin's Creed Nexus.

Virtual desktop software may even provide better Wi-Fi performance for some users. However, if you don't have a particularly good Wi-Fi connection, you can also stream via a single USB-C cable.

Where's Half-Life: Alyx 2 or Valve's new VR headset?

As usual, Valve won't let us see what it has up its sleeve. The notoriously tight-lipped Steam operator has almost never talked about its VR plans. Recently, Valve once again stated that they are certainly working on VR.

Whether Valve will develop another VR game is an open question. After all, there have been rumors about Valve's new VR headset - the standalone VR headset "Deckard" for a long time. In a job ad for late 2022, Valve wrote that it wanted to "take the next step in VR" and "reach millions of customers around the world." As usual, Valve is taking things slowly.
