Dragon Front Rising also supports mixed reality, blending the virtual arena with the real environment through perspective. In an article on "Quest Blog"interview, design director Micah Skaritka said the Rising update took six months to develop. They describe Rising as a "brand new mixed reality and control update," citing mixed reality as the reason for this new version.
While this isn't a confirmation, the interview also suggests that there will be updates to Dragon Front Rising in the future. "If this launch goes well, we plan to launch another faction, as well as more customization options, as well as some fun mixed reality living room combat damage updates," Skaritka said.
