Comedy TV show "Bookworm on a Mission" is coming to VR next year.
Developed by Scallywag Arcade, Mission Bookworm VR puts you in the House of Mission Bookworm, an "arena of reckless pursuits and broken dreams." As a contestant, your goal is to complete tasks, such as smashing watermelons, in a set amount of time in order to attract returning voice actor Greg Davis and his assistant Alex Horn.
Quests will take place throughout Quest Bookworm House, and Scallywag Arcade confirmed that Quest Bookworm VR has "more stuff, gadgets, and gizmos to keep you busy." Here's what's available from Quest BookwormSteamOfficial game description:
Mastering the task requires skill, patience, precision and grace. If all else fails, maybe just throw stuff around and hope something makes a difference! Just complete the mission within the allotted time and make use of the various common and uncommon items at your disposal. Grab, smash, balance, throw, magnetize, blast, pierce - do whatever you need to complete the mission.
“The world of Mission Bookworm is perfect for VR,” Scallywag Arcade game director Neil Taylor said in a statement. "Combining the joy of the show with the freedom of virtual reality gives players an immersive (and slightly crazy) experience."
