Meta said: “This is an important part of Meta’s continued commitment to protecting people’s privacy and personal data. This commitment is a responsibility we share with all developers in the ecosystem.”

To remain committed to helping protect people’s data and privacy, Meta said they share this responsibility with app developers and creators, including the Meta Quest Store and App Lab, so the company has developedData Use Checkupand other terms to help protect user data.

As part of ensuring user data is properly handled, starting January 26, 2024, all Quest developers will be required to completeData Handling Questions, answering questions about how and where an application might manage and process user-related information.
