FORM launches AR-based real-time visual coaching for swimmers

The FORM score is a measure of overall swimming efficiency that ranges from 0 to 100 and is defined by pace and stroke length. Head coaching skills cover five key areas to help swimmers determine where to focus on improving efficiency: head rotation, head pitch, set pace, interval pace and neutral breathing time. It also rates each swimmer's coaching skill from 0 to 100, an assessment that highlights areas for improvement and shows when progress has been made.

FORM said that through HeadCoach, swimmers can access tailored educational resources and video content in the FORM Swim App. Back in the pool, swimmers can use the Master Skill Mode in the AR swimming goggles to select the areas they want to focus on. According to FORM, overall technique is the biggest limiting factor in increasing speed in the water, but now swimmers can receive coaching on specific skills, such as head pitch, and watch how their FORM scores improve over time.

Each skill will have a unique gamified exercise to help swimmers hone their technique, and after completing the session, swimmers can check in the app to track their progress. Head coaches will provide data-driven guidance and understanding to swimmers from beginner to expert, allowing them to improve performance and speed.
