8th Wall Demonstrates Holiday-Themed WebAR Experience and Announces Holiday Developer Challenge

2023 年 12 月 7 日 –eighth wall, subsidiary Niantic and web-based augmented reality (WebAR) Provider of development platform, 最近推出了一系列独特的假期体验,这些体验是使用 8th Wall 的 2023 年版本创建的,以展示其 WebAR 平台在 2023 年全年可用的一些新工具和更新。

询问圣诞老人任何问题:天空效果 + 使用 Inworld AI Do world tracking

今年年初,8th Wall Earlier this year, 8th Wall announced that it could integrate its sky effects and world tracking to turn the entire world into a canvas for augmented reality (AR), an industry first. Using these two areas together, developers no longer have to choose between creating something in the air or on the surface.

Our new Ask Santa Anything experience proves this by combining sky effects and world tracking with the Inworld AI integrated module to bring a visit from Santa into any space. The audience can see Santa Claus appear in the sky, land in the world in front of them, and start an interactive experience with Santa Claus.

Niantic 假日卡:GenAI Personalized experience with modules

For the holidays, 8th Wall combines Image Targets and the 8th Wall GenAI module to create Niantic holiday cards. With this experience, users can create unique, personalized greeting cards using creative prompts that dynamically change background scenes.

Experience "Elfie”: A high-fidelity vacation experience with facial enhancements

During the year, the company also announced a comprehensive update to its facial effects tools, making its WebAR filters more realistic. New features include new attachment points, face morphing switches, enhanced facial tracking, and new ear attachment points for high-fidelity AR transformations.

Using these capabilities, 8th Wall created "Take an Elfie," a WebAR experience powered by these augmented facial effects that transforms the user into an elf that they can then share on social media.

Holiday Hands: Create interactive experiences with new hand tracking

8th Wall has also expanded its Human AR tool suite this year and introduced hand tracking capabilities, allowing users to create experiences that use their hands, wrists and fingers simultaneously, opening up a range of possibilities for natural, intuitive engagement in WebAR.

To celebrate the product's launch, the company created a "Holiday Hands" experience that combines physics and hand tracking to create a simple interactive game that allows viewers to use their gloved hands to push 8th Wall themed decorations.
