The report claims that the Apple Vision Pro may come with a 10-core GPU version of the M2 chipset and 16GB of RAM.

There are two variants of the M2 chipset. One has 8 GPU cores and the other has 10 GPU cores. To configure a Mac with the M2, the high-level will cost you an additional $100. Both variants have 8 CPU cores.

In a tweet on the X, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reliably reported many details about the Vision Pro before Apple publicly announced or confirmed its existence. He said he'd "heard" it used a model with 10 GPU cores.

This should make the Vision Pro's GPU at least 50% more powerful than the highly overclocked Adreno 740 of Qualcomm's new Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2.

Also, MacRumors reportFound a mention in Apple's Xcode IDE that Vision Pro has 16GB of RAM. That's twice as much as the Meta Quest 3 and 331 TP3T more than the Meta Quest Pro.

When all the specs are taken into account, developers should be able to deliver a higher fidelity experience on Vision Pro than they could on Quest 3 or any of the other upcoming competing products, close to PC VR, without the need to connect a computer.

However, all this performance comes at a price, both in terms of form factor and price.The Apple Vision Pro requires an external battery pack and costs $3,500 for 256GB of storage, with no other tiers yet announced.

Pre-orders for the Vision Pro will begin on Friday at 5 a.m. PT and will be released on February 2nd.
