This is what happened in the Apple Vision Pro store demo

I started my tour with an appointment for a 9:30 am demo. At about 9:00 AM I looked around. At about 9:30 or so, I got in line for a demo located in the center of the Vision area. They told me about basic gestures like pinching and two-handed zooming. Next, they gave a brief explanation of the helmet's buttons, the digital crown and the top button. The top button is used to capture the picture, but only the digital crown was used in the in-store demo.

Then they showed me how the magnetic light seals attach, how the knobs on the back tighten and how the fabric of the helmet strap stretches. Finally, they showed me how to hold the Vision Pro, flip it over and put it on my face.

From here, it was a usual head-mounted demo, like the ones I've received before. It started with calibration for both of my eyes under different lighting conditions, as well as calibration for my hands. As we went through the various content types on the Vision Pro, they verbally asked me several times if I was impressed with what I was seeing in the helmet.

How impressed you are with the headset, its see-through technology, or the overall display in the Apple Store may vary depending on how much you use VR.

However, it seems to me that Apple is making great strides in retail displays to show people that VR is not just for playing games in an interesting way.
