Disney brings 42 3D movies to Apple's Vision Pro, with promises of more to come

The company says that starting today, Vision Pro users will be able to watch "42 amazing 3D Disney movies," and the team will offer more film and TV content as time goes on.

Aaron LaBerge, ESPN's president and chief technology officer, said, "Disney stands out in the media industry because we're a company that stands at the intersection of groundbreaking technology and unrivaled creativity. Now, with Apple Vision Pro, we're able to take our storytelling experiences to a whole new immersive dimension."

Disney says that their 3D movies use Dolby Vision, Multi-View Efficient Video Coding MV-HEVC, and HDR Ultra HD resolution to provide an amazing viewing experience.

Additionally, anyone who has previously purchased a Disney movie from the Apple TV app that includes a 3D version can watch it for free on Apple Vision Pro.
