Cylindrical VR puzzler Twistex adds fully immersive environment to Quest App Lab.
Launched last year, Twistex is a rotating stacking cube puzzle game reminiscent of Tetris. The indie developers at Middle Man Games say the update, dubbed "huge," could be the "final version" of the game, after which they'll begin work on their next project. When it originally launched on the App Lab, the game was equipped with mixed reality penetration technology, while this latest patch adds a SteamVR version of the non-penetrating environment to the Quest version.
Detailed in a press release, Middleman Games said that the huge update to Twistex also introduces a shape guide that shows where cubes will land. The game also added a new practice mode, where the easy difficulty has been made easier, the starting speed of each level has been lowered, and the game's instructions have been changed to increase clarity.
Twistex is now available on Quest App Lab and SteamVR for $9.99.
