Big Shots, a VR robotics relic game developed by Belgian studio Alter Eyes, will launch next month on Steam, PSVR 2 and Quest with cross-platform co-op support.
Big Shots has announced a release date for the game and a new distribution deal with MyDearest (Dyschronia: Chronos Alternate). The game, which will be released on April 18, will allow players to play solo with an AI assistant or as a two-player co-op to repel invading aliens, gradually earning permanent robot upgrades and retaking the planet. Big Shots further enriches the market for the VR robot game genre. Following the January release of the brutal arena combat game UNDERDOGS, MyDearest is also releasing Ming Studio's Mecha Special Forces, a VR playable game inspired by classic Japanese robot anime. Also in development are Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom from Boda Nation Films and Atlas V.
We previewed Big Shots at Gamescom 2023 and gave it positive reviews. After trying it out in person with the PSVR 2 version, we appreciated the immersion and found it to be an "engaging robot game that inherits the right elements of Machine Legacy and Wave Shooter."
