为了Apple VisionPro买家,一段新的5分钟视频展示了2023 MLS杯的亮点,采用了Apple Immersive Video格式。
Apple Immersive Video comes from the acquisition of NextVR technology a few years ago, although Apple is reluctant to publicly acknowledge it. The technology offers 180-degree 3D video shot in 8K on high-end equipment and occasionally combined with computer-generated effects, demonstrating Apple's ambition to tailor content for VR headsets.
Apple has already shown off Alicia Keys' dress rehearsal with dinosaurs, wild animals and tightrope walking, and now it's added this MLS Cup video. The video collects a series of clips shot from different angles, with highlights including being so close to a goal that you have to turn your head to track the ball's path from the time it's kicked out to the time it enters the goal, and feeling like you're standing in the middle of a team that's celebrating.
The video also highlights some of the distractions that can occur when shooting stereoscopic video. Fireworks seem to light up clouds as they explode in the sky, creating some stereo parallax, and lights shining down from the top of the stadium create a distracting starburst pattern. However, for Major League Soccer fans who can get so close to the game and the players with Apple's camera, these minor issues may be worth it.
NextVR was known for its best-in-class streaming and capture technology at the time of its acquisition. For Apple, the high-resolution and high-frame-rate capture seen in the MLS Cup video provides a real-world testing ground to see which captured content works best in this new medium.
