Meta Quest v64系统软件更新已开始推出。64版几乎完全专注于Quest 3,带来了改进的穿透质量、外部麦克风支持和躺下模式。该更新还使得在摘掉头盔后继续进行投屏。

Keep in mind that Quest system software updates are usually rolled out gradually, so it may take a few days or even more than a week for your helmet to get the Quest v64 update.

Improved camera penetration quality
The main improvement in v64 is improved camera penetration for Quest 3. Shortly after the release of Quest 3, theMetaCTO Andrew Bosworth says that penetration will gradually improve as software updates are rolled out. v64 is the first update to accomplish this. Here are the specific improvements Meta claims are on v64:

Improved resolution: We have improved the visual resolution of penetrations by optimizing the penetration pipeline. This makes it easier for users to see details and read smaller text in the real world, such as notifications on smartphone screens.

Improved image quality: We fine-tuned the camera processing pipeline to improve color, exposure, contrast and dynamic range in Penetration. This brings the colors in Penetration closer to the real world. We've also reduced graininess (i.e. image noise) in darker conditions, making the Penetration experience more comfortable in a variety of lighting conditions.

However, our biggest criticism is that the severe geometric distortion in Quest 3's penetration feature has still not significantly changed.

External Microphone Support
When Quest 3 was released, I was initially excited to use it in our weekly VR download podcast, but found that it's mic'd up with the Quest ProThe same annoying popping sound problem exists, so I still use Quest 2. The v62 update improves the microphone quality of Quest 3, and in particular makes some improvements to the popping sound problem. However, after testing it, I found it still insufficient for VR downloads, and the sound is still significantly worse than Quest 2. The new v64 update adds the ability to use an external microphone on the Quest 3 via the USB-C port. This can include a microphone using the USB-C connector or any microphone connected via a USB-C adapter. We plan to test this feature for VR downloads.

Lying down mode
The main feature of the v63 update is the addition of lay down mode to Quest 2 and Quest Pro, a new experimental feature called "Use the app while laying down". When enabled, repositioning (holding down the Oculus button on the right controller or placing your right index finger and thumb together) also rotates the virtual coordinate space 90 degrees upward when you're looking upward, allowing you to comfortably use seated VR apps and games in bed. Until now, however, the feature was not available on the Quest 3. The v64 update brings this feature to the Quest 3. Meta CTO Andrew Bosworth previously said that the delay in bringing this feature to the Quest 3 was related to its auto-boundary setup option, which didn't exist in older headsets.

Continuous casting
Finally, the v64 makes it so that when casting the Quest's view to an external device, the casting continues even if the helmet is removed. Previously, the cast screen would turn black. This should avoid the problem of screen casting being interrupted when putting the helmet back on.
